Boy? Girl.

Houndstooth may carry fine vintage clothing for men, but that doesn’t mean only men can wear it. Fear not fem’s stop by and browse the fantastic finds Maria Chavez & boyfriend Michael Kimmins pick up at estate sales and flea markets around the country. For the summer road trippers out there they say Texas is the most successful.

Trousers, blazers, and button downs are organized neatly on racks around the space. But my favorite pieces were the 1950’s bathing trunks and the wide selection of hats from both traditional milliner’s and classic department stores. There’s nothing like a man’s Stetson hat to make a woman feel sexy. And with this year’s high waist denim try a pastel pink little boy’s ruffled tuxedo blouse to draw attention to those feminine features. While playing around the shop slipping in to oversized blazers that I belted as dresses and trying on men’s slacks a size too small yet fitting just right, I found it interesting how men’s clothing though not tailored for hips and breasts tends to accentuate the two. It is really very feminine and sexy. Clearly I’m recommending the ladies to go and shop for themselves, but I’m pretty sure it goes without saying men as well!

In addition they have great gift pieces scattered about the store. The antique shaving kit and leather flask set were our top picks.

Dear Maud/Faashion Weakley,

As a fashion novice I'm intrigued and delighted by what I've managed to look at on your blog... thanks so much for your kind words on mine, I got a little political today. Although proud of that, I'll try to keep it a little more upbeat and less angry in future! Please keep reading! And we got to get together soon... its been too long and CT is killing me...

Much love, Macauley x
